Investor Fees
Blue Marble Capital Management Limited manages discretionary investment accounts only. We charge a fee based on the total assets under our administration. Fees are charged quarterly in arrears directly to the respective account(s).
Fee Schedule
Our fee schedule is presented below. The fee schedule applies to all accounts within a family group (2 spouses/partners, children under 18, and owned corporations, trusts, foundations etc.). The family group can include RRSPs, RRIFs, RESPs, Regular accounts, and Corporate accounts.
Discretionary Management Fee Structure (Individual Security Selection)
- 1.25% of assets for the first $ 1,000,000
- 0.75% of assets for the next $ 4,000,000
- 0.50% of assets on any amount over $ 5,000,000
- Minimum Account Size $ 400,000
- Minimum Annual Fee $ 5,000
Discretionary Management Fee Structure (ETF/Managed Advisor Funds)
- 1.25% of assets for the first $ 400,000
- Minimum Account Size $ 25,000
- Minimum Annual Fee $ 300
The fees noted above are in addition to any fees that may be charged by the account custodian, TD Waterhouse Institutional Services (TDWIS). For instance, TDWIS charges a transaction fee for security purchase and sale transactions. Typically, this fee is $ 29.00 for share transactions up to 1,000 shares. There may be transaction fees for other securities transactions as disclosed in account documentation. Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) and Managed Advisor Funds typically have their own administration and management fees included in their unit prices. To the extent that these securities are used in an account they will increase the total fees paid by the investor. Blue Marble Capital Management Limited does not receive any compensation or commissions from mutual fund companies or TDWIS.
Our Partner
All accounts are maintained at TD Waterhouse Institutional Services, a division of TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., a subsidiary of the Toronto-Dominion Bank. All accounts are covered through the Canadian Investor Protection Fund. Although TD Waterhouse Institutional Services provides our account and back-office services, Blue Marble Capital Management Limited is independently owned and operated.
Client Involvement in Investment Process
Blue Marble Capital Management Limited is a full discretionary investment manager. We have a defined methodology and process that we follow to invest the funds that have been entrusted to us by our clients. From time to time a client may wish to suggest investments to our team. We appreciate all suggestions and investigate those securities meeting our criteria and research schedule.
